Someone called me up saying i had a debt from a credit card i never had. once i looked it up i found out that the credit card never existed this was definitely a hoax or fraud.

A message was left from this number and then when I returned the calls, threats were made about an unpaid bill. I informed them that I had indeed paid the bill and was told that I was lying and had 72 hours to fax a receipt. When I tried to fax the receipt, the phone number given is not a valid fax number...they are full not nice and the caller was a complete idiot

this number had rung me up to inform me they have been trying to get in contact with my brother. Apparently he has a subpoena out on him for amounts owing. I don't know apparently thousands. I dont know why I was even informed of this private matter and I do question the legitimacy as as my brother is pretty reputable and I think some scammers just picked a name out of a phone book to be honest. Becareful guys.
