12Got a call from "CHASE BANK Fraud Dept.", knew my name, saying that a checking account was opened in my name last night. Was it me? I hung up. Called Chase Bank directly. They have no notes regarding this issue. Reverse searched the phone number and this website came up. FRAUD!
Recieved a call this afternoon claiming to be from the Chase Fraud Department. Knew my name and last 4 digits of my account number. Continued by saying "we're calling due to a suspicious login to my account from a different device in a different state" and "there were also several transactions that showing as trying to go through on the account". After having him repeat what he was saying about 4 times he disconnected the call and never called back. I called Chase, explained what happened on that call, verified that that call was not made by Chase. There were no notes on the account from any department from Chase. The rep confirmed it was a scam call, by account has no suspicious activity, and next time just disconnect the call.
I got a call from this number and they wanted to verify some transactions for my chase account. I don't have a chase account. I checked all my accounts at that moment, and no fraud activity present. As soon as I told them I didn't have an account they hung up on me. Is a scam.
automated voice mentioning potential account fraud. New details about transaction, and account! I didn't call the 877 number they wanted, and called chase directly. Nothing wrong! So it was most likely phishing or something...
Called multiple times...I called Chase to verify and no report of fraud. Makes me very nervous.
I called the number on the back of my debit card and Chase verified this is their fraud number. I tried to make a transfer and they wanted to verify it wasn't fraud.
The is the official fraud prevention number for Chase Bank. They knew the details of the check I wrote, including amount, payee, and check number, and asked if it was valid.
