I called and was asked to give info about my account and request. Then I was redirected to a support person who helped me. I suppose the number is often spoofed, so when your Caller ID says the number is calling, it might be fake, but when you call it, you will talk to the real Amazon people.

Spoofed call pretending to be Amazon. It had Amazon’s name and actual number on caller ID. Call saying that a fraudulent purchase of an IPhone may have been ordered. I knew it was a scam so I double checked with Amazon and it was a spoofing call using Amazon’s number for caller ID purposes. SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Caller ID Comes up as "AMAZON" .... Computer voice alerts you that a person is making a large purchase on your Amazon account and you should press 0 to stop it and talk to an Amazon rep. Its a trap and I'm glad I looked up the number as I was listening to the garbage.
