The number +1 617 356 2953 appears to be a U.S. (Massachusetts) phone number that has been reported in third party databases as a potential robocall or spam source in some cases, but no definitive, universally verifiable attribution to a specific business or individual is readily apparent from publicly available listings. Overall, available public signals suggest caution when answering or returning calls from this line. 1. Ownership or type: The number is a North American number (likely mobile or landline assigned to a business or individual in Massachusetts) with no clear, authoritative public listing naming an entity; online reports categorize it primarily as a caller of uncertain nature. 2. Online chatter: Various spam/robocall reporting sites show mixed or inconclusive remarks about similar Massachusetts numbers, including warnings about robocalls or silent/ping calls; discussions on forums or user led directories generally flag it as something to be wary of but do not confirm a concrete entity. 3. Association with scams: The available signals lean toward unsolicited calling rather than a clearly identified scam; some databases label it as robocall or suspicious, but there is no universally verified scam claim specific to this exact number. 4. Public exposure or leaks: The number does appear in public facing spam/robocall databases and caller rating sites, indicating it is exposed to the public as a caller of uncertain trustworthiness; there is no evidence of a formal data breach or widespread leakage tied to this exact line. 5. Advisability of answering: Given conflicting signals and the potential for robocall behavior, it is prudent to avoid answering or returning calls from this number, and consider screening or blocking if it calls frequently.

Number continues to call with no one answering or line going dead upon answering. Says its a number from the city of Boston, which with a 617 area code makes sense, but when you zoom out of the Google Map, it has the phone call made from a suburb of Buffalo, NY. Based on our information provided here, is there an agency who is going to do something about this?

Scam Phone Number 2025068701, IRS. They will scare you & ask to pay cash on green dot card.. Be careful with these DC Phone Numbers. This is the business of scaming. They will scare you and ask to pay cash on green dot card. They will drain all your money from your bank account and transfer the money in foreign countries within few minutes. IRS will never call. Nobody calls. They will send you a notice. If money matter comes never deal. Go personally IRS OFFICE OR CALL AND CONFIRM. This thing is happened to all Indian people. These scamers are from India. There is absolutely no need to call back since the caller has nothing to do with the IRS (Internal Revenue Service). The IRS will never call anyone “out of the blue” and ask to pay. IRS will send letter by mail. Tax payers will get enough time to respond and dispute claims. If you get a call from someone claiming to be from the IRS, ask his name, a call back number (but should not call back) and employee badge number all of which he is bound to provide. (Crooks would provide fake badge numbers) If he provides details, contact the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 to determine if the caller was indeed the one he claims to be and whether IRS has a legitimate need to contact you. According to the IRS website: Scammers use fake names and IRS badge numbers. They generally use common names and surnames to identify themselves. Scammers may be able to recite the last four digits of a victim’s Social Security Number. Scammers spoof the IRS toll-free number on caller ID to make it appear that it’s the IRS calling. Scammers sometimes send bogus IRS emails to some victims to support their bogus calls. Victims hear background noise of other calls being conducted to mimic a call site. After threatening victims with jail time or driver’s license revocation, scammers hang up and others soon call back pretending to be from the local police or DMV, and the caller ID supports their claim. For More Information : www.irs.gov/uac/Newsroom/IRS-Warns-of-Pervasive-Telephone-Scam Warning issued by the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration: www.treasury.gov/tigta/press/press_tigta-2014-03.htm If you owe Federal taxes, or think you might owe taxes, hang up and call the IRS at 800-829-1040. IRS workers can help you with your payment questions. If you don’t owe taxes, call and report the incident to TIGTA (Treasury Inspector General for Taxpayer Administration) at 800-366-4484. Called my cell in the AM, this is a harrasment BOT program on a server. When answered, no one on the other end. I dailed back the number using a masking program (which blocks the dialers number), a female voice on a fake VM recording indicates that someone has been calling their number, apologizes then indicates sorry & that the VM is full. This IS fake an automated program likely on a made up Google number using a script routine!
