A preliminary scan shows the number 1 800 733 2767 is a toll free US line that has been linked in user generated reports to robocalls and possible harassment in some contexts, with multiple third party sites flagging it as problematic in past years. Current, definitive details require live verification from trusted directories; proceed with caution when engaging with this number. 1. Ownership/type: The number is a toll free US line (800 area) commonly associated with large organizations in the past; there are indications it has been used by or claimed to be linked to a well known nonprofit (e.g., Red Cross) in user reports, though reliability varies by source. The pattern suggests a non mobile, corporate or organizational line rather than a consumer mobile line. The best supported view is that it is a toll free corporate/organizational line, not a personal mobile number. 2. Online chatter: Public reports on scam/robocall aggregation sites describe this number as delivering robocalls or calls with automated messages, with mixed sentiments; some users report harassment and frequent calls, others note no spam. Forum and review timestamps cluster around earlier years, with sporadic updates indicating continued but inconsistent experiences. 3. Association with scams: Significant evidence from reports characterizes the number as linked to robocalls and potential harassment; however, the overall reliability of individual reports varies. Many entries advise blocking or avoiding engagement, consistent with scam/spam telephony patterns. 4. Public exposure/leakage: The number appears in public facing directories and scam report databases and is cited in consumer protection communities; historical postings suggest it has been publicly visible in such records. There is no clear, up to date confirmation of a universal data breach tied to this exact number, but exposure in public reports is evident. 5. Call back advisability: Given recurring robocall labels and harassment reports, answering or returning calls is generally discouraged; use legitimate contact channels for the associated organization if verification is needed. Consider blocking or screening calls from this number.

Claimed to be giving away free fandango tickets and refused to remove me from their call list
One call week of 3/17. I will call back as we have received 3 pints and how else do we get that, animals?? Common ppl. Be kind.
Called me 3 times in 20 seconds
They left a voice mail stating they were having a blood drive in my area and were at a all time low and needed blood. I give blood as much as I can but if I wait to long they are quick fast to all ways call me and bug me for my blood.

Caller didn't respond. Seems like everyone else is reporting Red Cross as being the caller. The reasons folks are stating they've discontinued use of Red Cross align fairly well with mine. Being notified I need to donate blood every week starting the day after a donation, offering rewards that incentivize going out to large public gatherings during COVID, and other such antics have honestly turned me off to this company. They're not a charity, I don't care what their profit status is, I'll donate blood elsewhere at my disgression. If Blood Cross reads this, STOP CALLING ME, STOP LEAVING ROBO-VOICEMAILS, STOP EMOTIONALLY BLACKMAILING ME AND THEN FAILING TO STEP UP YOURSELVES!
Most people are aware of the need for donated blood. Extra phone calls during the day are not necessary and most likely don’t have a positive affect anyway. I made an appointment to donate blood a few months ago. I waited two hours and then they had a novice woman try and get blood from me. I say novice because I could tell from the start, when she needed to use marker to draw on my skin, that it was not going to be fun. After several attempts, she finally asked for help and the nurse said that she didn’t want to hurt me any further and said I should come back. I then tried to make another appointment, but their records showed that I did donate blood that day and therefore wouldn’t allow me to make another appointment because it appeared that it was too soon after my first appointment. I decided to go to a local blood bank instead.

Dropped call or no message received in Illinois. Calling with recorded message (robocalls)
Caller ID said: American Red Cross. They left a robocall message for my Adult son who doesn't live here anymore. From the rest of the responses here I probably won't be able to get them to stop. Grrr.
It is the Red Cross, not a scam. They do call pretty frequently though, even if you have an appointment scheduled.
Called to remind me about my blood donation appointment the next day. No issues
Yes this is aggressive telemarketing. They have your phone number from you providing personal data, in good faith. They have now taken advantage of your good will and try to ENSURE you will be giving again on a regular consistent basis. If there was a service to SELL my blood to, I would sacrifice the Red Cross convenience for the blood donation for money. By using telemarketing, they are going for the figurative JUGULAR. And don't for a second think this isn't about money. Ask a person who has had a transfusion due to an accident how much the blood was. You may be surprised.
Red Cross - Calls several times a week, I can't donate due to health issues. But they will not stop. Ended up updated my donor account with the local Red Cross Chapter's phone number instead of mine.
Red cross, repeated calls.
I receive approximately 4 calls a day from an "Unknown Number" which I know many 800 numbers do to hide and hope that you pick up on the "unknown" call so they don't have to reveal their identity. The only 800 number that has called me in the meantime with no identification of Red Cross is 800-733-2767. All other soliciting calls have been blocked by "Do Not Call List" finally!!!
They call me every day, sometimes Sunday. Now they want me to kill myself.
Okay, okay ....now it is time to fight fire with fire ....Red Cross cannot be made to stop the lunacy of repeatedly calling ....well now, we will 'take care of business' by doing the following ....we will call them at 800-733-2767 and then select the option that puts you through to a 'red cross representative' ....then just set your phone down and do not respond ....every time you receive ANY of their unwanted HARASSING calls do this a minimum of 10 TIMES in rapid fire succession ....wait for them to hang up ....then repeat the process 10 MORE TIMES ....if they call you again in the future INCREASE YOUR RETURN CALLS BY 10 MORE TIMES ....if everyone who does NOT want these calls simply calls them back MULTIPLE times and wastes their TIME and MONEY - guess what ? .... the american red cross will start to 'feel the pain' ....smile as you dial ....isn't FREEDOM OF SPEECH A WONDERFUL THING ! Fire up your phone now ! ....800-733-2767 AMERICAN RED CROSS - HAVE A GOOD DAY !!!! = ( ha-ha-ha ) = I feel as light as a feather and I am dancing in the clouds ! Fire up your phone now ! ....800-733-2767
They keep calling on my cellphone. I have told them numerous times to stop calling, but they don't listen. I will never deal with them because of scam crap they have done in the past, like not applying donations like they were told to.
I'm sick of these calls. They don't listen when you ask them to remove you. And they call more than once a week! Their aggressive advertising is affecting their reputation, at least with me. Just because you are a nonprofit doesn't mean you should disregard people's requests to STOP CALLING.
Just received a non-solicited call from this number.
I found out this number is the Red Cross, reminding me of an upcoming donation. I'm not bothered by this.
its the red cross and they want your blood, they keep calling me.
The number is the Red Cross but they continually call and harass you even after you ask to be removed from their lists. I received 5+ calls a week from them as well as mailings.
Calling a couple of times per week to see if I can donate due to blood shortages but have been told multiple times that I will go when I can and not to call anymore!
sure, it's trustworthy enough. I know it;s the red cross. but fer FFS, I told them I cannot donate for a while because of an injury that makes it painful to hold my arms in that fixed position for the time necessary for a plasma donation. Calling me weekly when I said "I will contact you when I can donate again" NEEDS TO BE ENOUGH.
Red Cross calling 2-3 times a week asking for blood donation, they still keep calling after you just donate and won't be able to donate again in a month. Had asked 3 searate representative to remove my number from their calling list, but they just keep calling.... NOT COOL!!!
Schedule a donation of blood
Red Cross trying to schedule my next blood donation. Annoying (they keep calling) but valid.
Just asking you to donate blood.
This is the Red Cross. They want you to donate your blood. If you google the number, it's 1-800-REDCROS
they call me from 800 733 2767 at least 2 to 3 times a week, enough is enough. they never leave any voicemail either.
