They left a voice mail stating they were having a blood drive in my area and were at a all time low and needed blood. I give blood as much as I can but if I wait to long they are quick fast to all ways call me and bug me for my blood.

Caller didn't respond. Seems like everyone else is reporting Red Cross as being the caller. The reasons folks are stating they've discontinued use of Red Cross align fairly well with mine. Being notified I need to donate blood every week starting the day after a donation, offering rewards that incentivize going out to large public gatherings during COVID, and other such antics have honestly turned me off to this company. They're not a charity, I don't care what their profit status is, I'll donate blood elsewhere at my disgression. If Blood Cross reads this, STOP CALLING ME, STOP LEAVING ROBO-VOICEMAILS, STOP EMOTIONALLY BLACKMAILING ME AND THEN FAILING TO STEP UP YOURSELVES!

Most people are aware of the need for donated blood. Extra phone calls during the day are not necessary and most likely don’t have a positive affect anyway. I made an appointment to donate blood a few months ago. I waited two hours and then they had a novice woman try and get blood from me. I say novice because I could tell from the start, when she needed to use marker to draw on my skin, that it was not going to be fun. After several attempts, she finally asked for help and the nurse said that she didn’t want to hurt me any further and said I should come back. I then tried to make another appointment, but their records showed that I did donate blood that day and therefore wouldn’t allow me to make another appointment because it appeared that it was too soon after my first appointment. I decided to go to a local blood bank instead.

Yes this is aggressive telemarketing. They have your phone number from you providing personal data, in good faith. They have now taken advantage of your good will and try to ENSURE you will be giving again on a regular consistent basis. If there was a service to SELL my blood to, I would sacrifice the Red Cross convenience for the blood donation for money. By using telemarketing, they are going for the figurative JUGULAR. And don't for a second think this isn't about money. Ask a person who has had a transfusion due to an accident how much the blood was. You may be surprised.

I receive approximately 4 calls a day from an "Unknown Number" which I know many 800 numbers do to hide and hope that you pick up on the "unknown" call so they don't have to reveal their identity. The only 800 number that has called me in the meantime with no identification of Red Cross is 800-733-2767. All other soliciting calls have been blocked by "Do Not Call List" finally!!!

Okay, okay ....now it is time to fight fire with fire ....Red Cross cannot be made to stop the lunacy of repeatedly calling ....well now, we will 'take care of business' by doing the following ....we will call them at 800-733-2767 and then select the option that puts you through to a 'red cross representative' ....then just set your phone down and do not respond ....every time you receive ANY of their unwanted HARASSING calls do this a minimum of 10 TIMES in rapid fire succession ....wait for them to hang up ....then repeat the process 10 MORE TIMES ....if they call you again in the future INCREASE YOUR RETURN CALLS BY 10 MORE TIMES ....if everyone who does NOT want these calls simply calls them back MULTIPLE times and wastes their TIME and MONEY - guess what ? .... the american red cross will start to 'feel the pain' ....smile as you dial ....isn't FREEDOM OF SPEECH A WONDERFUL THING ! They keep calling on my cellphone. I have told them numerous times to stop calling, but they don't listen. I will never deal with them because of scam crap they have done in the past, like not applying donations like they were told to.

I'm sick of these calls. They don't listen when you ask them to remove you. And they call more than once a week! Their aggressive advertising is affecting their reputation, at least with me. Just because you are a nonprofit doesn't mean you should disregard people's requests to STOP CALLING.

sure, it's trustworthy enough. I know it;s the red cross. but fer FFS, I told them I cannot donate for a while because of an injury that makes it painful to hold my arms in that fixed position for the time necessary for a plasma donation. Calling me weekly when I said "I will contact you when I can donate again" NEEDS TO BE ENOUGH.
