55Receive a bill on April 8 dated April 1. Paid the bill. Metro Credit wanted me to pay them as well. I declined. Will block their number if they call again. Now, to watch credit in order to counter their, what MAY be, a scam.
they kept calling me about some homeless guys I took to the ER. I had to keep telling them I have no idea where those people are now.
No sé quién sea ese número me ha preguntado que si hablo en español
Medicredit fue reportado como Acoso telefónico con el número 800-8232318
Medicredit fue reportado como Empresa de cobranza con el número 800-8232318
I bought my home two years ago and the people who lived here as renters before me have apparently decided to never update their home address. I get mail for them constantly from their bank, insurance company, phone company, and even their tax forms and mail from their children's schools. I've had to contact them via social media multiple times to come pick up their mail (sometimes they do, sometimes they don't) I think it was earlier this week there was something in the mail for one of the former renters and if I recall the return address was for Medicredit. Well, I got a phone call yesterday to my cell phone from Medicredit. A robotic message was left saying they're attempting to collect a debt from Emergency Medical Services of Florida, but didn't say who they're calling for. I called back, they are evidently closed today. It rang once and the answering machine picked up. All it said was "Medicredit" (in a man's voice) "is not available"(robot voice like a cell phone default answering machine message). I did not leave a message. The only medical debt I have currently is my son's ER bill, which is on monthly auto pay with the hospital billing department, so I don't think they'd be calling for me. I'm wondering if they just looked up phone numbers associated with our home and started robo calling me, looking for the former renters.
continues to call for bogus bill
Medical collection agency
Received call with just silence. As soon as I said "Hello, you're in a recorded line. How can I help you?" they immediately hung up. A voicemail then suddenly appeared with no missed calls. Voicemail stated they were attempting to collect a debt.
These fools are relentless. They started calling me back in September. They wanted me to verify my personal information before they would tell me what they were calling for, which of course I refused. I added the number to my spam catcher but it’s still notifying me twice, sometimes three times a day that they are calling. As early as 8am, and as late as 9pm.
calls and leaves no message
Continue to call our Facility and leave half msgs. Called the number back in November and talked to a supervisor (Katherine) She advised there are Multiple Call Centers an our Phone number did not show up on their call list. she said she would notify the other call centers and have our number removed. Guess who call today... hats right once again the people are calling an not leaving a full msg. Very Annoying. Considered harassment per police guidelines.
calls facility phone and leaves voice Mail, doesn't say who they are trying to make contact with. called number back and they deny calling our facility.
If you leave a voicemail, state the name that you're trying to reach. It's suspicious when you leave a vague vm about collecting a debt. I have no debt and a clean report on my credit, so this is a bs call.
Calling all the time during pandemic when I don't have a job.
Called an quoted random local hospital that I don't recall going to. Asked me for my name, reminded them they called me and to tell me who they were looking for. They quoted HIPPA crap insisting they can't even tell me who their looking for. So I turned on a really loud p0rnographic video for their listening pleasure and walked away from phone. Hasn't called back.
I wasn't aware of a bill lingering from Care Now. The Medicredit number however was ridiculous. There is no one answering your callback, just an automated message saying they will call back. I called Care Now directly and took care of the bill.
Called about a bill that I DID at one point owe and left a message with the name of the medical office I owed. However, I paid that bill! This is a scam, do not pay these people! Call your original provider or your insurance before you even consider calling this # back.
Call related to No Subject Provided received in Taylor, Texas. Calling with recorded message (robocalls)
Called wanting personal info. and would not say why other than "Calling on behalf of ....... Hospital". We don't owe any hospital money and had no reason to "verify" our info. with a company I do not know. Obvious phishing scam.
I received a call today and they pronounced my name incorrectly. Then they asked me to verify if that was me. I stated that it sounds similar to my name but it is not my name. They said that they would call back. They did give the name of their business. Then he said that he could not give me any information about why they were calling until I told them my full name. I told them that it was not me and completed the call. I then called back and asked the name of the company and stated that I had received a phone call from the number. They said that they cannot verify anything until they knew my full name, DOB, and mailing address. I asked if they were seeking to collect debt for medical reasons, they stated yes, and I stated I do not have any medical debt at this time and they said okay. Thank you. I am not sure why they are calling except to go phishing for information. Please make sure not to verify anything with them. They keep saying that they are on a recorded line which does not mean anything. I called them back again and asked them to remove me from their listing and they asked could I provide them a number. They stated yes and I apparently have been removed. We shall see the outcome.
El número 800-8232318 ha sido asignado a Medicredit
Debt for hospital stay when I had a heart attack, because I am poor and can't afford insurance! Thanks libtards!
Calls about supposed bill for hospital. Sucks for them because my paperwork is cleared and nothing is on my monthly credit report stating otherwise. If you owe anything with drs they are quick to slap it on your credit report.
Scam company. I am a Medical Biller/Coder. Certified by AHIMA. I went to the ER 12/29/17. I got an EOB which I always review that my insurance company paid my bill at 100% in-network cost to my provider. (This means the hospital nor Dr cannot bill me per the agreed up contractual amount). It is ILLEGAL for anyone to bill me differently. The EOB even came with a letter saying "If I get any future bills on this matter, please contact us." (So my insurance company would handle it as they knew I was not to be billed further. To the hospital & Dr's offices credit - they did not bill me further. Medicredit, however somehow gathered my data & attempted a fake collection attempt on me trying to collect a balance (upon which I called my insurance company to verify to double check) which was actually HIGHER than the original bill for which the ER visit was for, & my insurance company once again verified that my bill was ZERO dollars & that no further action was needed on my part & they would contact Medicredit on my behalf. WARNING: If you hear from these people, do you due diligence. Call your insurance company, check your EOBs, &/or call a lawyer. These are NOT LEGIT PEOPLE!
Bill collection co. harassment over non existent hospital bill.
There's an app for that folks! Call block apps abound on Google Play, install, block number, never be bothered again! Works for me!
Left message stating they were collecting on a debt to a hospital I've never been to.
People, this is just a collection agency. If they are calling you, then a medical provider placed your account in collections because you didn't pay it. I just called the number back and they were very nice to work with - found out I hadn't paid my ER visit bill in full and took care of it.
It's a legit debt collector. They may have the wrong contact number but they don't do cold calls.
They call day and night trying to collect a debt for a hospital I have never been to.
Called for galpal who has stage 4 cancer, and is on Social Security with Medicare and Medicaid benefits and does not owe anything to anyone. She only has one doctor and all bills are paid for by funding from cancer society. I told them off, and they said they were sorry for bothering. I also informed I'd be blocking their number for calling continuously and at 8:51PM at night.
I have no debt at all and have legal paperwork to prove it. All bills "paid in full" with receipts of "zero balance." This number (800) 823-2318 keeps calling my phone, but I don't answer it. It's harassment and punishable by LAW.
Was paid the amount the Hospital asked for over and above what my insurance paid. Would not send copy of charges from the Hospital. Maybe they didn't send hospital the money. Maybe they just kept the money. Probably.
Called on my cell. Only 2 people call on my cell without permission, I am not married to you and I do not work for you! So I ask her for her authorization number. She did not know how to handle that. ID10T.
Sounds like this company is breaking FDCPA and need to be reported to the Attorney General.
they call on an unknown number and ask for someone I don't know. When I said they have the wrong number they act like they can't hear me and tell me they will keep calling back. I got the actual number from my paid ID account and called them back. Then they wanted a full ID on me, worse they told me the full name of the person they where trying to harass. These people are thugs, not bill collectors and need to go to jail. I feel sorry for the person who moved into that persons old home. Get these creatures out of your life asap if they call you. One more word and I would have called the police on them. I right out told them I didn't think they were a real company.
* THEY JUST KEEP CALLING, and CALLLING, and CALLLING, and CALLLLING... And CALLLLLLLING ! And NEVER LEAVE a MESSAGE !
I have had this phone number less than 24 hours and have given it to no one else. This is fucking ridiculous.
Will not quit calling even after discussing I am not who they are calling for
I get called on my cell phone between 4 and 6 times a day. I answered the first time and was told that I owed for medical services. I explained that I was making payments and was told that it must be paid in full. I informed them that that will not be happening. Due to all the scams I refuse to pay anything over the phone to someone that I did not personally call. They never leave a message and I have not received a bill in the mail.
I received a call from this number and when I answered I heard someone breathing with talking in the background for about 30 seconds before the person on the other end hung up without responding to me saying "hello". I called back and was answered by a "customer service rep" who got rude with me when I asked to be removed from their list.
They called me saying something about Medical first and when i had asked what it was they said to call them back with my Birthdate and Address
I DO NOT ACCEPT THIS OFFER TO CONTRACT and I DO NOT CONSENT TO THESE PROCEEDINGS
For medical bills
I agreed with hospital to pay $50 per month until paid in full which I have been paying faithfully. After 1 year this company 18008232318 calls and wants payment in full, and I only owe $83 at this time to pay them off. I will be very disgusted if this goes against my credit rating.
Keep calling about a surgery that went bad. Bills upon bills showing up with explanations like, "it was just an estimate, you owe more now". Never mind I'm not fixed after 50k out of pocket (thanks Obamacare), just shut up and pay. Fixing you is incidental to us getting paid for doing it.
The have started calling me at work during working hours. They will not provide any information; they just ask for a credit card number for a bill I have never received.
Calling for someone I do not know informed that this is not that persons number still calls even with robot dialer.
medicredit, keeps calling regarding a debt at hospital that i payed off the day of surgery. had reciept to prove it and sent proof, they still call several times a day. very aggressive and rude
