Limited information: Multiple reports associate this number with Wright Patt Credit Union (WPCU), primarily for debt collection and payment reminders. Some users express skepticism about the legitimacy of the calls due to mispronunciations of the credit union's name, immediate calls for late payments, and the use of private numbers for initial contacts. However, others confirm it as WPCU's collections department. One outdated report mistakenly labels it as a scam for debt reduction, which seems unrelated to the credit union's activities.

The number appears to be a US toll free line, but there are mixed online reports and no consistent verification of a single legitimate owner. Online discussions and spam report aggregators show occasional warnings, suggesting cautious handling of calls from this number. 1. What it appears to be: A toll free US number (+1 855) that could be used by a company, caller, or service provider. The format is typical for legitimate toll free lines, but toll free ranges are also common for scams; no definitive owner is publicly verifiable from available results. 2. What people say online: Multiple user reported entries on scam/spam databases and discussion boards indicate mixed experiences, including warnings about impersonation or telemarketing attempts; some listings show negative sentiment or cautionary notes, though not universal agreement on illegitimacy. 3. Association with scams or unwanted calls: There are scattered reports indicating potential scam or telemarketing activity tied to toll free numbers in similar ranges, but no conclusive, single diagnostic pattern confirming this exact number as a scam. Exercise typical caution and avoid sharing sensitive information if contacted. 4. Public exposure/leakage: Public facing directories and spam report databases sometimes include toll free numbers linked to warnings or user comments; the number in question does appear in some public discussions, suggesting it is at least visible in public forums or databases, but explicit leakage or breach links are not clearly established for this precise number. 5. Advisability of answering or calling back: Given mixed reports and the presence of warning era discussions around toll free numbers, it is prudent to avoid answering or returning calls unless the caller can be independently verified through trusted channels. Do not share personal or financial information if contacted.

Got the call and subsequent voicemail at almost 6pm EDT, they left a message ““Message is for MB this is Bruce Wright Patt credit union please call back at 855-814-2939 thank you…”
Said she was from Wright Patt Credit Union, but mispronounced it twice as Wright "Pratt." Called for my husband and would only say it's a "personal matter." We do bank with WPCU but this seems very sketchy.
Just calling for payment reminders
We did finance a car through them. I've noticed that even if we are just a few days late on the car payment, they are right there calling wanting payment. We just ignore their voicemails and make the payment when we get our paychecks which is usually no more than a few days later and the calls stop until the cycle repeats. .
Has called several times and left voice-mails about debt collections
