Called to discuss my bank charges. Asked me to confirm my birthdate. Why is Nedbank asking me to do something they are always warning me not to do? Suspect. When I told him I don't give my birthdate over the phone he thanked me and hung up... Call did not seem suspicious until then.

I receive emails from various people at "Nedbank" offering a credit card, and says that if I am interested I should reply and he/she will phone me back. First couple of emails didn't have any sender details / disclaimer at the bottom. The one I received today did which made me realize it is most likely a scam. The email address is underlined only under the name (Nedbank) and the website listed is not secure (http instead of httpS). Be warned guys and gals.
