“This number called claiming to be British Gas to make an appointment to fit a smart meter. I told them I didn't want one. They then said everyone is getting one "because of the covid-19" so obviously a scam, so I got very angry at which point the hung up. I suspect they are one of these firms that transfers people's accounts to an expensive supplier and they get paid for every transfer they achieve.”
