They called me on Skype. I don't have an actual Skype number, just the account. I live in the US and call the UK often. Who are these people and why are they calling skype accounts now?

This number is ringing me at least twice a day, as I work unsocial hours they have twice woken me up, including this morning and yesterday. The first time I answered it my dinner was on the boil so I said it was not convenient. How I wish I had never answered it at all!

According to other forums, this is a market research company employed by your bank, who have been given YOUR phone number, without YOUR permission to a market research company, who are told NOT to reveal to you exactly who they are working for. This is despite the fact I have asked my bank literally dozens of times to remove my ex-directory phone number from their records and to NEVER call me, and yet I have had two calls from this number in just the last couple of hours. And, as it is claimed to be a survey, there is absolutely nothing the Telephone Preference Service can do, and these people can pester you as many times a day as they like, between 8a and 10pm, seven days a week, including bank holidays.
