“You should never RECEIVE a call from an 0800 number, however it is identified as legitimate. They are used (as far as I am informed) for incoming calls to the organisation only. In my case it was used as a GHOST number for some trying to interest me in a govrnment initiative for loft insualation. This DOES NOT EXIST.”

“Said they were from Halifax fraud team as someone had tried to set up an account online in my name. They wanted to go through security questions with me but I didn’t want to so she said she’d post something. I rang Halifax to check. They said an account had been opened on my name which they shut down immediately and the 0800 number was from scammers. Don’t be fooled!!”
