Claimed to be from telkom asking us about our wifi bundles and whether or not the bundles are enough. He further said there was a promotion and we could get 10gb anytime and 10gb night just for R99 instead of the 5gb we were receiving. After a few hours he called again and we blocked the number, im assuming he wanted out banking details

These people have been calling me non-stop. My caller identity recognizes them as spam. Strangely they know I have just the car. They have been sent by the financial institution I bought my car with. They are trying to ensure that should I die the debt will be paid off, and they starting asking you personal detail. When you are asking them what are they selling you they ignore the question. It's been three weeks. They call everyday

Operator new my name. Says they're from Telkom mobile. They've been phoning every +-2 hours. I don't give my number out. I believe this to be an unsolicited call. Requested that they remove my number immdediately. They apologised, for what that's worth. Blocked the number nonetheless.

the person call says from Telkom ,2nd April says huawei phone on special p20 lite /p20 279.00 the marketer gave her philela qhayai also gave 0730607527 number to call back for follow up,number belongs to a Bryan Thulani. a john phones on the 4th of April from 0216740400 from confirmation Telkom dept,confirming personal details where to send phone by courier 3-5 days. it is now 12 APRL AND NO DELIVERY OF PHONE. Iam an existing Telkom client. is this a scam? when calling the 021 number it says call cannot be completed.

I didn't answer the call, they left a voicemail. When I listened to it, there's eerie music playing... nobody's speaking or anything else but the music is playing continuously until the end of the voicemail. What was the purpose of that? Lol

I frequently get calls from this number, the line is very bad and the staff members unfriendly! I blocked this number only to be contacted on my work number. I find this totally unacceptable since I on no application gave permission for my cell or work number to be handed out for ANY marketing purposes. I asked to speak to the manager to assist me in locating where my work number was obtained from only the have the phone put down x2 in my ear. RUDE!!!! I am going to post this on every possible media plat form and try my best to put a formal complaint through. I had more than enough of this HARASSMENT!

After reading all of these comments I got worried and called Telkom on 081180. I explained everything to them and gave them the number. It is a outsourced company that they use for upgrades etc. People please do a bit of research.

Called me, asking why my CellC bill for my open ended contract was so high (R280). Told him that my bill is limited to R80. Kept on insisting that I am in trouble about my bill. I put the phone down next to me, with the Mic muted. A couple of minutes later, the call was dropped :)

As one of the above selfless commenters mentioned, this is likely a fraudulent scam which uses tactical questioning and mispronunciation to splice conversations together from your words and voice. Be careful what you say to them. The client is also using a VoIP number(Internet based telecoms solution) from Intersol which makes it hard to trace the client down. This also tells us that they aren't a legitimate telecoms provider. Thus, ignore and say nothing to the people on the other side of this number.

Lady called me from this number and asked to speak to Thomas (or somebody similar). I told her that I do not know Thomas. She then told me she is from Telkom and started her promotional speech. I did not listen or responded. Seconds later she dropped the call.
