Was contacted by a Megan stating that I owed just over R2000 for using an online sex chat line for 2min 45sec @ R1.45 per sec + tracing fees. I unfortunately used the work phone to make this call and they are now threatening to contact my employer to settle this debt!!!! Also have obtained my partners details and are threatening to call her as well!!! Catch 22 here as not sure if I can get into trouble for using the work telephone for this and also the fact of having to explain to my partner. Seems from the commentary this is a scam.

Hi All, I got contacted by these people. They said that they I have been charged with fraud. For not paying. I will admit that I called. After she rushed through the T&C’s I didn’t even register what she said and she started with her act of erotic questions where I spent at maximum 3-4 seconds on before hanging up. They have my voice recording, the images it for me when I answers. I am under age and I’m worried they will contact my parents as my mom is the account holder. I blocked their numbers on all of my intermediate family numbers phones before they contact them. I worried though cause they have my moms ID number. Can they do anything with it? Can they send court orders? It’s been two days now and nothing has happened. I got worried at the beginning and asked my Uncle to lay them but their account was frozen from the bank due to scammers using that account.

I also got a call last month. Claimed I made calls to sex chatline and then played me a recording...problem is I never made the call and they had someone that sounds like me. Could have recorded my voice and did a mock call. Then threatened me with courts etc.

My brother is mentally disabled and got an SMS from these people, supposedly a "Final notice" to pay R1,300.00 today of "outstanding R1,590.00". The SMS includes a request to fax proof of payment to 0862605580. Account details for payment given as FNB, Acct No. 62335318590, branch code 250655, account holder "SOCIAL NETWORK". Unfortunately, my brother phoned them on the 0311013203 and gave his name & physical address before he contacted me. I told my brother that SMS is not a legitimate way demand payment, and to tell them they must send him a printed itemised invoice, and otherwise also to ignore their calls and SMSes.

Please note my brother is going through the same experience, a pop up appeared on his cell,he as a touch screen cell, he touched it and it rang,a lady answered & asked him random questions, his name, address, id number, which he gave incorrect details,thereafter she went straight into explicit sex, whereby the call was disconnected. This took place on 26/11/2015. Yesterday my sister & mum received a call from Adelle from SocialNetwork (031 1013203) & 0799355323, which is constantly engaged. Harassing for R1560.00, i responded and informed the lady we reporting this to the SAPS for harassment, cos they want to press fraudulent charges.

I called a number I got on an ad site and a lady picked up and as the conversation started i noticed it was a sex chat line (i probably dialed a wrong number) but i didn't hang up immediately so i kept listening (silly me) she said somethings which I didn't hear very well cos the connection was a bit ruffled and she asked my names and date of birth date which I didn't give her my real details cos i being protective not to give my details to the wrong people. then she started with the sex talk and after about 10secs my airtime ran out and the line dropped. Now today i got a phone call from +270311013203 a lady on the other line said somethings i didn't quite understand asking me about a call that was made from my line and I couldn't remember so she played me a recording of a conversation and I remembered making that call. Then she said I owe them money and I refused to pay that they are giving me until today to pay up else they will take legal actions (that scared me a bit). So i told her to text the details. Then an sms came in from a different phone number (+27725987935) with banking details belonging to 'Social Network' directing me to pay 'Hot Live Girls' for a sex chat i had on 07/08/2015 an amount of R 1,560.00. Then It dawned on me I had caused a great deal of trouble. Then I called the lady back on +270311013203 and told her i had no idea i owed that much for a call that lasted about 30secs That's just outrageous!! I dont even have that kind of money. Then she said i defaulted on payment which was supposed to be 100rand in 72hours but i was just hearing that for the first time i didn't even know i was supposed to pay R100 within 72hrs for some silly mistake i made by not hanging up when i realized i had dialed the wrong number. If i was supposed to pay why didn't they contact me with banking details sooner so i could have paid the R100 (for my silly mistake) . Then she started yelling at me that they are taking legal actions. I was just so angry and confused at the same time. So i pleaded with her to give me till monday to come up with the money and they should put their legal actions on hold. so she said i have till 10am on monday that i should email the payment slip to [email protected]. Now I am confused cos i know i can't even come up with half the money by monday. But the threat about the legal action worries me. kindly advise. Their service is not done properly and i think its targeted ripping people off. they could have contacted me earlier within the 72hr time and I would have made amends for my silly mistake. But they didn't. Now they are threatening me with legal actions cos they have my recording as evidence to tender in court. I don't even have money to pay or to even get a lawyer. This is Just messy! Someone Pls help

Hi all, I need assistance on a matter. A Company called social network investigations in partner with Hot Live Girls are claiming that they are going to take me to court if I don't Pay Hot Live Girls R999 for their services and the above mentioned company R561 for coming in contact with me and explaining the situation. Social Network investigations stated that I should pay before tomorrow morning At 10 otherwise they will take legal action.
