Didn't catch the name, says was Westpack, I relied No it is not and hung up. I seem to get a lot of scam calls and legit callers will most likely get hung up on as well some times

Rang and said issue with recent payment attempt on my card. Rang westpac directly and checked with fraud team, nothing unusual on my account noted and call was not from them.

This seems to be Westpac's "calling from overseas?" number on their website. They actually called a family member asking for some details and I called Westpac back on their normal number (0800 400 600) and it turned out the first call was indeed legitimate in this case.

This is a legit number. It is westpacs 24/7 fraud team who will call you if your card has had a suspicious or fraudulent transaction. It is not a scam like what these other boomers say, this is their Auckland credit card fraud office.

BEWARE: Said there was a suspicious transaction on my card she wanted to talk to me about. I said this is a fraud and hung up immediately as I have had multiple calls of this nature from similar numbers. Googled the number and came to this site.

***WARNING FRAUD*** I rang Westpac on 0800400600 and pressed 1 to "save spot in the cue" so the bank would call me back. Within 1 minute 099128000 called me claiming to be Westpac - their caller ID said "Westpac New Zealand". There was an automated message saying that Westpac was returning my call and then something about security, but then the number hung up.

Says she's from Westpac and self-introduced as Jeniffer. the caller name appearing on my phone showed "Westpac New Zealand" which is very deceiting. When I asked for her last name, she wouldn't reveal. Asked me to call back on the caller number. When I threatened to check her up in the nearby Westac branch, she got panicked, at which time I hung up the phone.
