Official customer service numbers
The official customer service numbers of banks, insurers, energy companies, phone companies, couriers and public bodies, exactly as each one publishes them on its own website. Search the number that called you or the organisation’s name. If a caller asks for codes, passwords or money, hang up and call back on the official number yourself.

A matching number is not proof
Scammers can fake the number shown on your screen (spoofing), so a call that seems to come from an official number can still be a scam. Your bank will never ask you for a code or your PIN, or tell you to move your money to another account. When in doubt, hang up and call back on the official number yourself.
How to use it
- Type the number that called you, or the name of the organisation it claimed to be.
- Compare it with the official numbers and the page each one comes from.
- Not on the list? It may still be a real line, but don’t give any data: call back on an official number.
- On the list but they ask for a code or money? Hang up and call that number yourself.
Where these numbers come from
We only list a number if the organisation publishes it on its own website. Each one links to the page where we found it and shows the date we checked it. Numbers reported by users or found on other websites are never listed here.
Coverage
13 official numbers from 9 organisations in this edition. Organisations change their numbers: if one is out of date, tell us and we’ll check it again.
Frequently asked questions
The number that called me is on the list. Is the call genuine?
Not necessarily. Scammers can show any number on your screen, including an official one. Hang up and call that official number yourself before you give any data or money.
The number isn’t on the list. Is it a scam?
Not necessarily either. Companies also call from lines they don’t publish. Don’t give data to anyone who calls you: call back on an official number to check.
How do you check the numbers?
We open the organisation’s own website and only list the numbers we can see there, with the link to that page and the date we checked it.
Why isn’t my bank or company here?
We add organisations as we check their numbers on their own websites. Until then, find the number on the organisation’s official website, app, bills or the back of your card.
