“Someone from this number keeps calling my daughter every couple of days saying that she is overdue on her credit card. I think she may have missed one payment, but has a new job now. I don't think Wells Fargo would be pressuring her so much for such a small amount. So this time I decided to talk to them. The guy had a foreign accent, so I think he is from Pakistan, India or Canada. When I said "I was her mother and what's going on?" he hung up on me. If he was legit, he would have said "I am sorry, I can only speak with her". This is an identity thief preying on people who miss one payment. He is phishing to see if you bank with Wells Fargo, and getting as much personal information as possible. He wants her to give her credit card info over the phone, so he can steal her identity and rack up a huge debt on my daughter! I hate these creeps! I am going to advise my daughter to go in person to Wells Fargo to make the payment.”
