“Received a call from this number who said they were from British Gas ringing to book my boiler service. They knew my full name but our British Gas account is in my husband's name and as far as I'm aware they don't have my full name. When I said that we book our services online the caller said that the booking system was down and he would do it for me over the phone. I said no thank you and put the phone down, I went straight onto the British Gas website and although my boiler service is due the system was working fine and I booked it online. I suspect it is some kind of scam and he just happened to get lucky with the timing coinciding with my service being due.”
