Be very cautious as they want to enter your home or make appointments for a service etc. as others have reported here it’s a SCAM. you can book these things yourself through the app.”

“Called and asked for the name on my British gas account I said I've never been a customer and if my name was on your system you'd be addressing me with my name. She said I owed £45.63 for BG and the questions were for security. She hung up when I asked her why she was scamming people. Has rang daily leaving Voicemail claimed still to be British gas saying I owe money on my account and they'll call back or for me to go to their online portal.”

“After a long delay, a foreigner claiming to be from British Gas wanted me to book a gas boiler service (not due 'til December). Knew my name which means absolutely nothing with regards to being genuine or not. Either BG has started to scam its own customers or the number has been cloned.”
