“I did not answer the call. After getting the message, I chose not to return their call - they did not have the right name. I find it hard to believe that a BoA department would not identify which department they were with and what they were calling about. Just seemed way to vague. And open till midnight? That seems to be a bit off. They called my work number and left the following message: Hello, this is Eric Weiner calling from Bank of America. This message is for *Name Removed*. I am calling in regards to an important servicing matter. Please give us a call at 888-800-9030. We are in the office until midnight Eastern Standard Time. Again, the number is 888-800-9030. We look forward to hearing from you and hope you have a great day. Note that someone above said they called the number and verified it was BoA. Yeah, if you call the fraudsters at their number they will verify whatever they think you want to hear”

“I noticed two BofA credit cards opened in my name last year on my credit report. The second I filed an investigation on those two credit cards to get them closed, I started getting threatening calls from this number. very shady.”

“I got a very strange call from "Bank of America" phone number 800-432-1000. And they asked for me by my previous last name. I remarried in 2012 and have had a different last name since then. They were telling me I was having two fraudulent transactions of $1100 and $1400 that would be coming out of my account if I didn't create a "ZELLE" account. He said he could file a police report on my behalf, but that because the transaction was associated with my phone number, I would have to follow his instructions and log into Zelle and then he would give me codes to reverse those transactions. I said I did not have a Zelle account and he told me I needed to download the app, which I did on my cell phone (I have since uninstalled it). Something just did not seem right and I told him I would go directly to Bank of America (where I DO NOT have an account) and then he really started to get belligerent! I hung up! I'm mad at myself for even going THAT far with his awful scam.”

“BOA # 800-432-1000 called my cell and asked for me (with my maiden name) in an accent. Very hard to hear, sounded like they were under water. I said, you are very hard to hear and they hung up on me.”

“Guy with Indian accent called and said that he was from Bank of America wanting to know if I opened a BOA credit card using my telephone number and email address and made money transfers through Zelle. Tried to get me to call another 1800 number (to cancel my Zelle transactions. Got suspicious when he wouldn't tell me where the Zelle transactions were going to. Called up my real bank and they said if they wouldn't disclose transaction destination then it is a scam”

“Got a call today at 1:44 from what I thought was BOA. It was a middle eastern accept person using if I used Zelle and my BOA Acct to authorize two separate charges. I did not. Ask me for specific information regarding my account. Knew this was a scam as I have several business accounts with BOA and that is NOT how they conduct security question information. Please do not fall for this scam”
