“This is a phising scam where they pretend to be Standard Bank and try and get you to confirm your pin information. They already know what your bank account details are and you are last few transactions so they definitely have inside info, but they need your pin in order to and neccessary your account. Don't respond and don't answer the call.”

“Just receive a call in the middle of the night from this number posing as Standard Bank. Initially they sent me SMS stating discrepancy on my account luckily I'm doing internet banking & I checked all my accounts and they are fine. By the time they call I ignored their call and checked their status here. Thanks God I didn't wasted my time with them.”

“Honestly it is mostly unsettling for me that these people make contact after you have actually used your card! Standard Bank needs to find out who has access to this information, or block this kind of info from getting out! “Missed the call, received an sms with all the recent transcations and it prompted me to respond with a Y if it was me. I typed in the Y but didn't send the responce i then listened to the voice message. Everthing about it seemed stranged especially the sms.”
