Index of the brands most impersonated by phone and SMS
We count the reports in which the reporter writes the name of one of the companies with a page on NoCall. It shows which brands callers and senders use most when they pretend to be someone else.
A report naming a brand does not prove the call was impersonation: sometimes it is the company itself or a sales agent working for it. We also do not know whether it was a call or a text, because the report does not record it.

Method
- We only count reports a person sent through NoCall (the website or the app) that were approved in moderation: they have a source IP and do not come from imports or generated content. Reports still awaiting review do not count. Minimums count distinct people (by an encrypted fingerprint of their IP), not reports, so one person cannot move a figure. Comments on number pages are not used.
- We look for the name of each company with a page on NoCall in the text the reporter wrote, as a whole word and ignoring accents. Short acronyms (ING, AXA, DHL, UPS, MRW) only count in capitals. We also accept "Santander", "Sabadell", "Corte Inglés" and "Securitas".
- A report naming "Correos Express" does not also count for "Correos".
- A brand is listed when at least 3 different people (distinct IPs) name it.
- The report text is never published, only the count.

Frequently asked questions
Do these companies make spam calls?
Not necessarily. Often they are scammers using the company’s name. To check a number, see the official numbers on the company’s page.
Why are there so few brands?
Because we only show brands named by several different people. With few reports, one person could change the order.
