What time and day do spammers call? A heatmap from real reports

Each cell counts the reports NoCall users sent about Spanish numbers at that hour and weekday, in mainland Spain time (Madrid).

Reports by hour and weekday

Number of reports by weekday (rows) and Madrid hour (columns). The darker the cell, the more reports.

Method

  • We only count reports a person sent through NoCall (the website or the app) that were approved in moderation: they have a source IP and do not come from imports or generated content. Reports still awaiting review do not count. Minimums count distinct people (by an encrypted fingerprint of their IP), not reports, so one person cannot move a figure. Comments on number pages are not used.
  • The time is when the report was sent, in Madrid time, not when the call happened: most people report soon after the call, but not always.
  • Spanish numbers (+34) only. The heatmap is shown from reports by 100 different people.
  • An empty cell does not mean nobody calls at that time, only that nobody reported it.

Frequently asked questions

Is it the time of the call or of the report?

Of the report. NoCall does not know when your phone rang, only when you sent the report.

Can sales calls be made at any time?

This report is not about legal calling hours. It only shows when reports reach us.
