“this is the number you call to report fraud or check your activity, but they do not call you from this number. I checked my account to make sure nothing weird was going on, and they definitely were spoofing the legitimate number that you can call.”

“The call was legit - I received a message that there was a problem with a wire transfer on my Bank of America account. I called BofA's main customer service # (not this number), there was indeed a problem with my account (also verified through my online banking page) and I was able to resolve it with the Bank.”

“Received snail mail, Tax Statement for Year 2024. This statement reports 1099-INT to Dept of IRS Interest Income Statement Form for $.57 with phone number - 1-866-213-4074 from Bank of America PrePaid, Historic New Castle, DE. (Bank 02322), TIN-0000. I think it's a scam as I doubt a prepaid card gives interest for federal tax returns nor do I think I have any outstanding Prepaid cards. Ignoring just in case.”
