“Just got this same scam via postal mail. I called the number on the letter and got as far as them asking me to send verification codes (for an account I never setup). I googled the number mid conversation and found this instead of bank of america.”

“Call from Amanda Jones stating she was calling re a "personal banking matter". She called my roommates cell phone # and when my roommate questions why she didn't have my direct number she said she couldn't discuss. My roommate asked how she got her number, and they said they looked up the address and her number was the one associated with it. She told them that the call was suspicious and that she'd pass on the message to me, but that I probably wouldn't call back. Then my roommate looked up the number and said it was scam.”
